What to bring.

  • Water and a willingness to learn.
  • Clean fitted sportswear without zippers or buttons.
  • We’ll have a loaner Gi available for your Jiu-Jitsu trial week and loaner gloves available for your kickboxing trial week.
  • Clean, indoor-only gym shoes if you plan to use the fitness room.
  • A few extra minutes to meet the coach.

What to expect.

Remove your shoes on arrival and place them on the dedicated shoe shelves. The rest of the facility is shoe-free. Clean, indoor-only gym shoes are required inside the fitness room.

Your first class is about getting oriented. Tell the instructor you are new, follow their directions and ask questions. Training partners and coaches will help you understand safe movement and class routines.

In Jiu-Jitsu, tap early to signal that you need your partner to stop. Always stop immediately when your partner taps.

Do I need to get fit first?

No. Start where you are, pace yourself and talk with your coach about your experience.

Is Jiu-Jitsu the same as kickboxing?

Jiu-Jitsu is grappling, with positions, control and escapes. Kickboxing focuses on striking technique, footwork and pad work. We offer both.

Can my family train too?

We have programs for children, teens and adults, with family membership savings. Speak with us about the right classes.
