BUILD SKILLS. EARN EXPERIENCE. CHASE YOUR GOALS.

The Competitive Path

From your first regional tournament to the biggest stages, build your competitive journey through skill, experience, athletic preparation and consistent work—with your coaches beside you.

Competition is optional. We encourage members to take part when their skills, confidence and readiness make it a positive learning experience.

Build your skills. Keep challenging yourself.

Start with our Jiu-Jitsu or kickboxing programs and build strong fundamentals. As your skills develop, keep raising the standard through our advanced programs and competition prep program.

Work with your coaches to identify what needs attention, where you are ready to be challenged and how to prepare for the next step.

Start small. Earn your experience.

Regional tournaments are an ideal place to experience the nerves, pace and intensity of competition. Start with an event that suits your level, learn to stay composed under pressure and build confidence through experience.

As you develop, push yourself toward more challenging regional events and stronger opposition. Every match gives you something to take back to training.

Natural talent and athleticism are real. Experience can only be earned.

Find your next stage.

When you are ready, begin your international competition journey, earn your place at an invitation-only event, compete at a major event or join a superfight card. Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing offer opportunities to test yourself on bigger stages.

Find the events and formats you gravitate toward, talk with your coaches about the path forward and put in the work to prepare. Let your goals give your training direction.

Train like an athlete.

At bigger events, strength and conditioning deserve the same commitment as your technical skills. If you are going to compete in Jiu-Jitsu or kickboxing, approach your preparation like an athlete.

You do not need the body of an Instagram model. Athletes come in all shapes and sizes. Focus on the strength, fitness and consistent work that help you perform at your best.

Earn your way to the top.

Some Fort athletes have won on their first appearance at a world event. Your path might take more attempts, and that is okay. Learn from setbacks, keep improving and keep giving yourself the opportunity to succeed.

Talk to your coaches about what reaching your highest level could look like for you. They can help you build a plan, choose the next challenge and work toward your goals. Earn your way forward, one step at a time.
